Reliving The Past Part 2: Oregon Vs Michigan

I can honestly say I knew we were going to kill michigan. My parents were trying to convince me Michigan was going to be pissed and would probably obliterate U of O. The reason I knew Oregon would win is because Michigan was 0-4 going into that game against teams with a spread offense. Photobucket Dennis Dixon went nuts against Michigan finishing 16/25 292 yards and 3 touchdowns and 76 yards on ground and another touchdown rushing. The one rushing touchdown, defined the game. The fake statue of liberty will forever be on the tron during the highlight video. It also solidified Chip Kelly in the hearts of duck fans with his creativity.Photobucket I remember as soon as the game was done Greise was saying how Dixon would be his vote for Heisman and compared him to Vince Young. At the time I thought " great, dont jinx him" The game was great. Oregon brought "the hammer" and owned michigan. Always a great day in my book.

That game was a total debacle. Michigan looked as bad as Notre Dame did that week; even though Notre Dame hadn't scored an offensive point in 2 games.

A deer's eyes caught in headlights wouldn't even be discriptive enough to reference how shocked both the Michigan team and fans were when Oregon "brought the hammer" so to speak.

The utter dominance of the spread offense was seen as we threaded the needle, picking apart the Michigan defense like an atkins-dieter on breaded chicken; it was a beautiful thing.

The manner in which we dominated set Oregon up for a season of utter -success and glory; as will be this season.

Great blog Cole, keep up the good work
